TNA Job Costing
The Job Costing module provides for orderly job costing and detailed tracking of tasks and labour in both hours and dollars. Employees may use a second 'job' barcode card or job ticket number via a key pad to identify the skill, task or cost centre. TNA 2000 Job Costing will also track movements from one department to another and time limits can be placed on the time spent moving between these departments.
Employees can be classified in 9 different ways: Company, Branch, Department, Cost Centre, Category, Scale, Type, Job and Workgroup. Thus you can break down hours worked (and ultimately money) into Companies, Branches, Departments and so on.
This ability to assign the time to multiple classifications in this way allows for a lot of flexibility. For example some Job Costing systems allow for "sub jobs" or "tasks" (welding, grinding, fitting etc). Using TNA 2000 as you can simply assign one of your classifications (for example Category) to be your Tasks.
TNA 2000 has a feature called Charge Rates. This allows you to enter the Cost, and Billing rates for employees. (create a set of rates and then assign that to as many employees as you like, you can create as many sets as you like.)
